Mobility is the stuff modern life is made of. People are travelling more and more for leisure, adventure, business, humanitarian missions, to visit friends and relatives, etc. Travelling is frequently associated with specific and often preventable health risks such as tropical diseases like malaria. Our Travel Clinic taps into UCS’s extensive experience and know-how in travel and aviation medicine. Its team of doctors and nurses can offer you personalised advice for your international travels regarding immunisations, prophylactic medication, and a range of other preventive issues.
The services provided also include health education sessions targeting corporate and occupational groups, medical clearance for ill and incapacitated airline passengers (Medifs), a quit smoking clinic, a fear of flying program, post-travel medical assessment, etc. Guidance follows the recommendations of the major health authorities in the field, but is carefully tailored for the specific needs of individuals and groups.
Our travel clinic’s health professionals can speak English and French.
The UCS traveller’s first aid kit is a lightweight and handy bag for the most frequent travel health nuisances, and contains a set of products for common ailments such as fever, aches and pains, stuffy nose, diarrhoea, vomiting, heartburn, skin yeast infections and superficial burns, as well as an insect repellent and water purification tablets. In the kit you will also find a digital thermometer, tweezers, plasters, bandages, adhesive tape, syringes, and disinfection pads.
